Engineered Timber Floor
Engineered timber flooring is made up of multiple layers of hardwood veneer. By alternating the direction of the grain on each layer from side to side or top to bottom, the plank becomes much more durable, and this minimizes the amount of swelling or shrinking that can happen due to changes in temperature and humidity.
Features:
Stability – They are far more stable than solid wood planks so there is far less likelihood of eventual problems and much wider boards can be produced.
Pre-finished – Engineered boards are usually available pre-finished which means a reduced installation time and no surprises on site.
Underfloor Heating – Unlike the vast majority of solid timber planks, engineered boards can usually be fitted over underfloor heating.
Environmental Friendly – Engineered boards make far more efficient use of slow-growing, lamella layer timbers (oak, walnut, etc).
Easy Installation – Engineered boards offer an alternative, easier method of installation.
